ExamTopics vs ExamCup: price, PDF and pass guarantee compared

Updated · 5 min read

Picture this: your exam is booked for three weeks from now. You search for practice questions, open ExamTopics, read the first page, sign up for free and keep going. Somewhere around the thirtieth question the free part ends and a price appears: $79.99 for three months, and another $79.99 if you want the PDF. Is it worth it, or is there a better way to spend that money?

We built ExamCup because we think there is. We are not neutral, so this comparison sticks to what you can check for yourself on both sites: what you pay, what is free, what is included and what is promised, where we are stronger and where ExamTopics is. We checked every figure on October 31, 2026.

Quick verdict

If you are going to pay for one exam, ExamCup costs about a quarter as much as ExamTopics for the same three months ($19.99 against $79.99), and the PDF is included instead of costing $79.99 extra. ExamTopics has a one-month option at $59.99, which we do not offer.

  • One exam, three months, with the PDF: $159.98 on ExamTopics, $19.99 on ExamCup.

Trying it before you pay

Both sites let you start without paying, and neither uses captchas. On ExamTopics you can read the first page of an exam, usually ten questions, and a free account unlocks more, around thirty in total in our checks. On ExamCup you can open the free questions of every exam without an account, and a free account adds 50% more. A free account can also take the timed practice exam on its free questions. The exam page shows exactly how many questions are free and when the bank was last updated.

Answers and discussion

ExamTopics shows a suggested answer with community votes, and its discussions are well established: on popular exams candidates have been debating the tricky questions for years, and that history is a real strength. On ExamCup each question has a verified answer and a written explanation, with community discussion and votes alongside. Our community is newer, and we are working to make it the best place to discuss exam questions. If the long comment history on a popular exam matters most to you, check ExamTopics too.

Pass guarantee

We refund the price in full if you buy full access, practise properly and still do not pass: answer at least 70% of the exam's questions with Check answer, complete at least 1 timed practice exam, and send your claim within 14 days of your result. The full rules are on the refund policy. We found no refund policy or pass guarantee on ExamTopics.
